Most telecom products attract 10% to 20% basic customs duty. In order to provide strategic impetus, the Government provided benefit in form of concessional rate of duty or exemption to certain products by way of Customs Notification No. 57/2017-Cus. as amended, for specified telecom equipment under CTH or HSN 8517 62 and 8517 69.
